Rules, orders, & regulations, of a friendly society, called the British Assurance Society, held at no.129, Aldersgate-Street, now fully established by act of Parliament, Was first formed on the 26th of October 1773, and on the 24th Day of March 1779, was further established by Deed, Inrolled in his Majesty's Court of King's Bench, Westminster. For the Mutual Benefit, Relief, Assistance, and Support of the Members of this Society, the Widows and Children of deceased Members, in Case of Sickness, Lameness, Blindness, Superannuation, Death, and Incidental Casualties. To which is added by way of preface, some remarks on the utility of benefit societies in general, and the public advantages of this society in particular.
