A catalogue of the valuable and choice collection of books, prints, books of prints, sketches, original drawings, portraits, paintings, by the first masters, viz. Trivisani, Zucki, Studio, Leonardo da Vinci, Snyder, Agostina, Cuyp, Canaloli, Guido, Rembrandt, Raphael, Poussin, Salvator Rosa, Worton, Bourbonion, Bergham, &c. Also a large collection of bows and arrows, guns, pistols, swords, spears, daggers, shields or targets, And other Ancient Armour of all Nations. And, coins and medals, engraved copperplates, An eight-barrelled hand organ; With many Curious and uncommonly Scarce Articles, well worth the Attention of the artist, connoisseur, and antiquary. The property of the late David Martin, esquire, portrait painter to His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. Which will be sold by auction, viz. the books, and part of the prints, by C. Elliot, and the other articles - by William Bruce, on Monday the 14th of January 1799, And the Twenty following Days, (sundays excepted), at Mr. Martin's house, no. 4. St. James's Square, near the Register-Office, Edinburgh, To begin each Day at Twelve O'Clock Noon. To be viewed Six days preceding the Sale, from Twelve to Three o'clock, the Prints and Coins excepted, which will be seen on the Mornings of the respective Days of Sale. Catalogues to be had at Mr Creech's at the Cross-And of C. Elliot; also of William Bruce, No. 37. North Bridge Street, Edinburgh; likewise of Mr George Nicol and Mr Edwards Booksellers, Pall Mall, London-Price One Shilling-to be allowed to Purchasers, on the Catalogue being returned; which will admit the Bearer during the time of Exhibition and Sale. No Person to be admitted to either View, or Sale, without a Catalogue. No.
